What is sound insulation?
The sound insulation in a space aims to isolate it from the sounds of the external environment and vice versa. It does not allow the output of sounds in the outdoor spaces. In a building the transmission of sound can happen in various ways (through the walls, from the floors, from the ceiling, etc.). A special study is required to achieve the ideal sound insulation result.
In addition the sound can be transmitted through the air, which is easy to detect and seal any hole in the room. Frequent examples of sound insulation applied, beyond homes, are also in commercial and industrial areas (eg entertainment centers, factories near residential areas).
